Golden Turmeric Banana Bread
A healthier twist on classic banana bread with anti-inflammatory turmeric. Moist, flavorful, and beautifully golden.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 teaspoons JJ Spices turmeric powder
- 1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil
- 3/4 cup sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Turmeric Amount: 2 teaspoons turmeric powder for 1 loaf
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas with melted butter.

Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and pepper.

Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.

Fold in walnuts if using.

Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Slice and serve once completely cool.

- Don't overmix - some lumps are okay.
