Haridra: The Golden Healer of Ayurveda

For over 4,000 years, turmeric has been central to Ayurvedic medicine. We honor this tradition with quality that meets both ancient standards and modern requirements.

Haridra in Ayurveda

Known as Haridra in Sanskrit, turmeric is revered as one of the most important healing herbs in the Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia. It's classified as Katu (pungent), Tikta (bitter), and Ushna (hot in potency).

Tridosha Balancing

Turmeric balances all three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — making it one of the few herbs with such versatile therapeutic applications.

Raktashodhak

Classified as a blood purifier (Raktashodhak), turmeric has been used for millennia to support healthy skin, liver function, and overall vitality.

Deepana-Pachana

As a digestive stimulant (Deepana) and carminative (Pachana), turmeric supports healthy digestion and metabolism — key to Ayurvedic wellness.

Questions from Ayurvedic Manufacturers

Common questions about sourcing turmeric for Ayurvedic products.

Do you supply as per Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India (API) standards?

Yes. Our Classical Ayurvedic Grade turmeric meets API specifications for Haridra. We can provide test reports showing compliance with all pharmacopoeial parameters including curcumin content, ash values, heavy metals, and microbial limits.

Can you provide stone-ground or traditional processing?

Yes. For manufacturers of classical formulations who prefer traditional processing methods, we offer sun-dried, stone-ground turmeric. This preserves the full spectrum of volatile oils and maintains the traditionally expected characteristics.

What documentation do you provide for GMP audits?

We provide comprehensive documentation including: Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch, heavy metal test reports, microbial test reports, pesticide residue certificates, source traceability documents, and processing facility hygiene certificates. All documents meet Schedule T requirements.

Do you supply to AYUSH-licensed manufacturers?

Yes. We currently supply to multiple AYUSH Ministry licensed manufacturers across India. Our quality systems and documentation are aligned with current AYUSH regulatory requirements.

What is the shelf life of your Ayurvedic-grade turmeric?

Our properly stored turmeric maintains potency for 24 months from date of manufacture. We recommend storage in cool, dry conditions away from direct sunlight. For taila-grade (oil preparation) turmeric, we recommend use within 12 months for optimal results.

Can you customize curcumin content for specific formulations?

Within natural variation, yes. Duggirala turmeric naturally contains 5-7% curcumin. We can select batches at the higher or lower end of this range based on your formulation requirements. For standardized extracts (95%), please see our Pharmaceutical grade offerings.
